Career

2001 to Present

Filmography

Whether it’s Hiddleston’s role in his first big-screen film, Unrelated (2007) or his upcoming Thor: Ragnarok, he meets each role with excitement and enthusiasm.  It’s no wonder his career has skyrocketed the way it has, nor that he has amassed a considerable army of fans to cheer him in his efforts.

Television

First appearing on the telly simply as “Lord” in The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby (2001), Hiddleston has taken few breaks during his career.  He has accepted role after role, pouring his all into each one.  His 2017 Golden Globe win as Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television for The Night Manager (2016), was well-deserved kudos for his hard work.

Stage

Hiddleston made his London stage debut in Yorgjin Oxo: The Man at Theatre 503 in 2005, though in 2000, he was in A Passage To India, playing the front leg of a elephant, alongside Eddie Redmayne, while in school. Indeed, it was during his early time at University of Cambridge, he was spotted by the agency, Hamilton Hodell, while acting in the Tennessee Williams play, A Streetcar Named Desire, and was signed onto their growing list of talent.

Voice Work

Hiddleston’s wonderful baritone has been heard in a variety of projects, from animated films to a video game (not quite A to Z).  He’s even been heard as the voice of Charles Darwin in the 2006 mini-series documentary, Galapagos, and again in the 2009 TV movie documentary, Darwin’s Secret Notebook.

Shorts

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences defines a Short film as "an original motion picture that has a running time of 40 minutes or less, including all credits".  No matter the length, Hiddleston gives the same effort to all of his projects.
